If you are looking for an easy party appetizer, then look no further than these puff pastry brie bites!
There’s much to love about this delicious dish. To start, you need only 3 ingredients – puff pastry, brie and preserves.
Next? The easiest prep ever! Simply roll out a sheet of puff pastry and cut into squares.
Tuck the squares into a greased mini-muffin tin and place a chunk of brie into each.
Follow with a spoonful of your favorite jam or preserves, bake and serve!
We like to garnish with a tiny sprig of thyme but this is totally optional. This recipe yields 24 servings but can easily be doubled if you’re feeding a crowd!
Puff Pastry Brie Bites:
- 1 sheet frozen puff pastry
- 4 ounces Brie
- 1/2 cup preserves
- 24 sprigs fresh thyme (optional)
Defrost the pastry according to package directions. While the pastry is thawing cut the Brie into 24 pieces approximately 1” x 1”. Place in a single layer on a baking sheet and freeze.
Pre-heat the oven to 350 degrees; spray a 24-cup mini muffin tin with non-stick cooking spray.
Unfold the pastry on a lightly floured cutting board and roll into a rectangle approximately 10” x 14” (don’t worry if it’s not exact).
Cut the pastry into 4 strips x 6 strips for a total of 24 pieces. Place each piece into the well of your greased muffin tin. Place a piece of Brie into each well and top with a teaspoon of preserves.
Place the tin on a baking sheet (to catch any drips) and bake for 15 – 18 minutes, or till bubbly and the pastry is golden brown. Let sit for 5 minutes and transfer to a serving plate. Garnish with thyme sprigs, if using, and serve immediately.
