Pregistry’s Friday Recipe: Cookie Butter Waffles

These easy 2-ingredient waffles are ready in a flash!

Frozen puff pastry makes short work of these delicious stuffed waffles, which bake up perfectly every time – with no fuss and no mess!

Simply roll out the pastry as instructed below, and spread half with a layer of cookie butter. Fold the other half over to seal, place in your pre-heated waffle maker, cook and serve!

And don’t stop with cookie butter! Almost any filling you can think of will work – from your favorite chocolate hazelnut spread, to peanut butter and jelly!

Cookie Butter Waffles:

  • One sheet (1/2 package) frozen puff pastry, thawed in the fridge but still cold
  • 1/2 – 1/3 cup cookie butter

Pre-heat your waffle iron according to instructions.

Keeping the pastry folded, roll it out so that it measures the width of your waffle iron by twice the length (don’t worry if it’s not exact; it will come out great regardless!).

Spread a generous layer of cookie butter on one half of the pastry, leaving a half-inch border all around. Fold the plain side over and use a fork to crimp and seal the edges.

Place the filled pastry into your waffle iron, close and cook till golden brown, about 5 – 7 minutes.

Serve immediately.
