Pregistry’s Friday Recipe: 1-2-3 Cereal Bars

These are the easiest, most customizable snacks you’ll ever make!

Three ingredients and three steps (and zero baking!), and you’ve got a portable, self-serve snack that is as perfect mid-morning as it is post-lunch or after school.

And the best part is that the recipe can be infinitely customized! We’ve kept it simple, using almond butter, Chex cereal and honey (the flaky sea salt topping is optional but we never skip it!). But you can use any cereal (even oats!) as well as any nut or seed butter you like.

And the sky’s the limit if you want to add some mix-ins! Chocolate chips, raisins, pumpkin seeds or chopped nuts all work. This is a perfect recipe for using any bits and leftovers you have in the fridge and pantry, and can easily be made gluten-free, nut-free and vegan too!

1-2-3 Cereal Bars:

  • 1 cup almond butter, melted
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 3 cups Chex cereal
  • Flaky sea salt for sprinkling (optional)

Line an 8 x 8 baking pan with wax or parchment paper; set aside.

Stir the almond butter and honey in a large bowl till well combined; add the cereal and stir till well coated. Pour into your prepared baking pan and press till evenly distributed. Top with flaky sea salt if using, and chill till firm. Cut into squares.

Store covered, in the fridge.
