TRAUMA DURING PREGNANCY
The term trauma refers to physical injury, usually that occurs rapidly. Trauma can happen outside of pregnancy or, of course, during pregnancy. In fact, trauma occurs in roughly 1 out of 12 pregnancies, and so it is one of the most common pregnancy complications. When you are pregnant, you are susceptible to falling because your balance gets thrown out of whack due to your body’s center of gravity shifting during late pregnancy.
