Quarantine has been hard for all of us.

We have had to change our lifestyles, the way we relate to our friends and family, and even the types of clothing needed for our new schedules. Lucky for us, being pregnant during this time means wearing your ultra-comfortable pregnancy pajamas and loungewear is possible even during normal working hours!

We have put together a list of the top needed loungewear suggestions so that you can relax comfortably and still look great during quarantine!

  1. Maternity leggings

Leggings are a pregnancy staple during normal times, but with the level of use they’re getting during the lockdown, it goes without saying you need a couple of extra pairs.

  1. Sweatpants

Sweatpants are another obvious choice but often overlooked! Invest in a loose pair of sweatpants that can accommodate you at any stage of pregnancy (this means very loose!). You will be happy even after giving birth that you have one pair of pants that doesn’t strain or press against your stomach.

  1. Undershirts and tanks

Layering undershirts are the unsung heroes of pregnancy comfortability! Sweating through shirts is never fun- even when you’re at home on the couch. Investing in a good quality sweat guard undershirt is a sure way to guarantee comfort without the sweat stains.

  1. Sweatsuits

Nowadays, matching sweatshirts and sweatpants are all the rage. Just in time for you to hop on the bandwagon and wear a sweatsuit-pregnancy edition. If you don’t want to invest in a brand named suit, just buy generic same-color sweatshirts and sweatpants-you can even customize it yourself. It is also important to note that buying a size larger will be more comfortable later on.

  1. Compression socks

Compression socks are the holy grail of pregnancy. Whereas varicose veins and swelling are the norm, these socks prevent the uncomfortable bloating and pressure swelling in your feet and calves. Buying a couple pairs of these socks will come in handy when you fly on an airplane in the future as well! As the altitude rises, the pressure builds in your feet and it can get painful!

  1. Snuggie

Snuggies are the best durable invention for the pregnant woman! Combining the feeling of a cozy blanket and a soft bathrobe, wearing a snuggie is like wearing the best of both of those products! Buying a snuggie is a great investment as you will definitely get use out of it long after you have your baby!

  1. Scrunchies and comfortable hairbands

When pregnant, many women complain of sensitive scalps and recurring headaches. Those feelings make it difficult to put one’s hair back as a tight hair holder or headband can exacerbate the symptoms. However, buying some cloth scrunchies and cloth headbands can do the trick without inducing any headaches! Some scrunchies are even meant to be worn to bed and do not leave a mark in your hair!

  1. Loose jeans

While jeans are wholly unnecessary while in your own home quarantining, they are a great way to spruce up a wardrobe of leggings and sweatpants. Buying boyfriend style jeans or jeans with holes in the knees ensures a more comfortable fit when sitting on the couch or on your bed while still looking like you put in the effort when getting dressed! You can also look online and see what materials your jeans are made of. Usually, jeans made of cotton are softer and more durable than ones made of spandex and polyester. When buying lounging jeans, always order a size up-no one likes the ‘too tight jeans’ feeling!

  1. Oversized blouse

An oversized button-down (or even a men’s button-down) does wonders when paired with loose and comfortable jeans. Wearing a button-down shirt is an easy and comfortable way to achieve a relaxed loungewear look while looking presentable for a video call or visitors.

  1. Slippers

Comfy and cozy slippers are an absolute must! However, when it comes to the kind of slippers, you know your body best. If your feet tend to overheat, steer clear of the fuzzy and furry slippers. The added warmth will make your toes and soles of your feet sweat and before long your shoes will reek. Instead, look for comfortable slides or flip flops to wear around the house.
